Introducing The Business of Design Podcast

By The Business of Design No Comments

I’m really excited about whats in store for 2017 and one of the projects I’ll be working on is The Business of Design, a podcast where every week we bring you an inspiring guest that helps us unpack exactly what it takes to be successful in the creative industry.

On the first episode we have none other than Manuel Casasola Merkle, one of the founders of Aixsponza in Germany. During the interview we chat about his life before Aizsponza, how much being in the right place at the right time can change your career and how much hard work it really takes to make it in this competitive industry. We also go into team dynamics and how being a generalist over a specialist can help you in your every day.

Inspirational Piece – Golden Melody Awards (Nominations Graphics Reel)

By Inspiration No Comments

The 27th Golden Melody Awards is the Taiwanese equivalent to the Grammy Awards. It is also one of the three major annual awards presented in Taiwan along with Golden Bell Awards for television production and Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards for films.

The Nomination Graphics Reel is an inspiring piece that showcases a multitude of techniques and styles while creating a cohesive branding package that stands out.

A consistent use of vibrant, complimentary coloring combined with juxtaposing shapes and forms engage the viewer and bring out fresh and quirky Asian inspired nuances.

Each category is well thought-out and the attention to detail definitely deserves a frame-by-frame run through.

Let me know what you think of this in the comments below, would you like to see more inspirational posts like these?

The most anticipated update of V-Ray for Cinema 4D is out now! (V-Ray 3.4)

By News No Comments

Article by Yunal Zobu

Stefan Laub and team #vrayforc4d official released V-Ray 3.4

Before diving into the lists of specs, here is something I’m very excited about – version numbering. Yes, those tiny numbers! VRayforC4D will no longer have different numbering than all the other ones (3DS Max, Maya and etc.). This means C4D users finally got their hands on the most recent core version of the popular render engine. (The only higher version currently is the beta for 3DS Max)

While this transition may not seem so important to all of you, let me assure you – this makes it possible for the Cinema 4D community to work daily with state of the art features. And this makes all the difference for every artist, no matter of his current skill level.

Let’s get geeky!
