Don’t let small problems stop your progress

By General, Inspiration No Comments

Often as designers and 3D artists, during the creation process we are often faced with roadblocks in how to achieve a certain look or how to complete a needed task to help us achieve our vision and art direction. There’s nothing more frustrating than battling with a “small” issue and wasting valuable hours on it when you have no one to ask for help. The upside to it though, is that you learn from it and you’ll more than likely never forget how to do it again.

That being said, if you’re ever in a bind or have a burning question about Cinema 4D or Adobe CC, I’d love to help. I’m a sucker for a good question and would enjoy the opportunity to help you solve your problem and progress forward with your work.

This is an open invitation for any beginner or intermediate users in C4D and anything up to advanced users in Adobe CC to follow me on twitter (@eugeneopperman), and if you’re ever stuck, drop me a tweet and I’ll do my best to help you out.

Growing the Cinema 4D community

I’d love you to also take 2 minutes to read my article Cinema 4D Asset Drive and donate an old C4D asset for the community to be able to use. It’s a great “Pay it forward” campaign and you stand a chance of winning some awesome prizes.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Cinema 4D Asset drive – WIN BIG!

By competitions 2 Comments

One of the greatest reasons we are here as artists and creatives is to serve. Now that’s a big statement for some reading this, but take a second and think about it. We give our talents everyday in the search for happiness and expression, and there’s nothing as satisfying as the art of creation and being able to share it with the world. It’s our identity and personality all neatly packaged for the world to see.

In the creation process, we are often lead down many roads and iterations of our designs – they change form and scale and we continuously craft and refine them until the final product slowly reveals itself to us, and only then do we call it done.

Part of creating means experimenting, practicing techniques and refining skills and in that process we often land up with a library of assets that for some, never see the light of day. These assets stay in a dusty “one day” folder on a hard drive somewhere, hoping you’ll be reminded of them someday and you’ll be able to use them in a project and only then share them with the world. It could be anything, but it was something you put your time and effort into and that helped you grow.

This is a call to all Cinema 4D artists, I would like you to go into your dusty old “one day” folders on your hard drive and find some C4D assets that you can share with our community. It could be anything from models to textures,  presets, plugins, scripts, scenes or even rigs which could help a fellow designer grow and learn. One of my goals for this site is to harness the talents of every visitor and to provide meaningful assets to further their knowledge and careers.

Win Big – My way of saying Thank You!

I’d never expect something like this for no return, so to say thank you, I will be giving away a free Muse Creative product from the store to 15 awesome people and 5 personal lessons at random over the next week. These can be Muse Creative products of your choice and for those who win the private Cinema 4D lessons, these will be 1 hour lessons.

Please spread the word!

I’ve given a lot to the Cinema 4D community over the past years, and I believe it’s the greatest 3D community online today, so I appeal to each and everyone of you to share this with everyone you know, tweet about it, share this post of Facebook and lets give back to our community and uplift our friends through our work and grow together.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, it means more than you know.

For those that are ready to submit, you can send an email with your asset and information on who you are and how people can follow you online to eugene@musecreative.net

I’m looking forward to sharing your amazing assets with the world.
